About Wittering Surf Shop
Wittering Surf Shop started in 2001 by Nick Cheshire in a shed, in what was probably the worlds only Surf Shop / Pet Shop! In 2005, Wittering Surf Shop opened up it’s official store as we know it today. Since then it has grown to 3 times the size, with a vast selection of mens and ladies fashion, surfing hardware and wetsuits. Plus an all new Surf Cafe!
Design 51 worked with Wittering Surf Shop from 2005, we created their first logo and in 2009 designed the icon you see on their shop front today.
In 2010 we were commissioned to design them their first eCommerce store, we worked long and hard to ensure their site looked great and worked well for new customers from far afield, but was also easily useable by the many returning visitors that came to check the surf on the surfcam.
Wittering Surf Shop have really embraced their new online presence, sending out packages every day and adding new stock and updating the site weekly. Along with the main site we also built them a custom theme for their Blog, which is updated with surf news and events regularly.
We also helped Wittering Surf Shop with their email marketing, using the awesome Mailchimp, we designed several templates and managed their database.
The great thing about this site is that because it is so flexible, the client can update the entire website themselves, including graphics and products with ease.
